Australian Marinas Guide have developed the /only/ comprehensive listing of marinas right across Australia. Fast closing on almost 300 marinas, we've found nothing else in the print or online media to compare with the scope of this directory. We have listed every marina in Australia, ensuring that boaties have ready access to every marina in the country.
While marinas are the main focus, the site actually encompasses the whole boating lifestyle. Boat owners tend to embrace a waterfront lifestyle, even when they're not actually onboard, so we've included lifestyle, passage making and destination information. A comprehensive *Events Calendar* is referenced to a convenient marina. If there's a festival, boat show or event that involves the water, there's a very good chance you'll find it in on the Events pages. Additionally we provide information on waterfront destinations, accommodation, entertainment and tourism attractions in our *On the Waterfront* pages.
*Trip Planners* include coastal cruising itineraries and anchorages, while the *Blog* is for news and products of interest to boaties.
Launched in August 2008, The Guide was developed in response to boaties'
needs. They said they wanted to enjoy their day out on the water, and didn't want to waste time trawling the web trying to find a safe marina stopover. New vessel purchasers wanted to know where they could berth their boats. When undertaking passage planning, they wanted to know where the marinas and harbours were located. They needed to know what facilities were available and how to contact the harbourmaster. Once they arrived they wanted to know what to see and do, where to go and how to entertain the kids. Our research indicated that the marketplace didn't service this need adequately. Online means up to date. As marinas evolve, so too does The Guide, ensuring that information is current and accurate at all times.
